Rachel is a devoted wife and mother of two, 9 year old Stefone Jr. and 17 year old Laylonie. Life took a difficult turn after she was involved in a serious car accident in December 2022, leaving her with ongoing back complications that have changed nearly every part of her daily life. Despite her determination, the pain has made it increasingly hard to walk and forced her to leave her caregiving job of three years, a role she loved because it allowed her to help others.

Her next step is a major back surgery that was scheduled for September 2025, and while she looks forward to healing, the road ahead is filled with uncertainty. Her husband started his own small lawn care business last year so he could care for Rachel and be there for their children. Balancing long days of hard work with the care and love their family needs. Though the business brings in some income, it’s just enough to get by, and the approaching winter brings new worries, especially about how they’ll afford heating oil.

The challenges have been heavy on the entire family, but Rachel’s daughter, Laylonie, has shown remarkable strength and maturity. At just 17, she has stepped up in ways beyond her years, helping around the home and supporting her family however she can. With all of this hardship the family hasn’t been able to provide Christmas gifts for their children the past few years, something that weighs deeply on Rachel’s heart, especially knowing how much her daughter has helped and sacrificed without complaint.
